Clean Bikes Are Happy Bikes

Like father like son! Ben took his bike out front for a bath and Mason followed right behind with his bike.

Rosemary Beach, FL

The family took a trip to Rosemary Beach in June and again at the end of July. Mason had a blast! He LOVED the pool, the sand, and the ocean. The boy was made for relaxing...

His routine was a little off - - naps were taken in the stroller to and from lunch. Sometimes he'd even sneak in a little nap while riding in the jogging stroller, while I ran.
In Rosemary Beach there's an area with a water fountain - - tons of kids played in the fountain daily. Once Mason got in it, he refused to get out...

And when Mason was done playing, we lounged on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

And when it was time to head home, Mason helped clean up too!

Granny's Birthday

Granny, Mason, and I spent the weekend in Helen and Amicalola Falls.  The weather was perfect and the scenery was amazing!

Helen, GA has one of the largest Oktoberfest celebrations so we stopped for lunch on our way to Amicalola Falls.  We enjoyed German sausage, German beer, and a wide assortment of people...it was a great day for people watching.

The next day we hiked the waterfalls.  All the walking must have really worn Mason out; he was asleep before we even began our hike back to the top (425 stairs!)

...getting very sleepy.

And asleep!

Mason at 5 Months

At 5 months, Mason had a couple of firsts...
His first bowl of cooked beets:

And his first go around on the baby bouncer:

Mason and Walter also spent a lot of time playing on the floor together:

St. Simons Beach

We spent a long weekend at St Simons Island.  There was a lot of sun and relaxation.  You'd never know this was Mason's first trip to the beach.  Not only did he love lounging in the pool and bouncing around in the waves, but he also seemed to like the taste of the sand - must be an acquired taste.
